Photography Challenge for July 2010 - Up in the SKY

This month's challenge was inspired by the glorious Winter sky here in Brisbane at the moment. I was sitting on my back stairs yesterday pondering the next photo challenge when I happened to look up at a bird flying by screeching. I was immediately struck by the brilliance and clarity of the blue blue sky and how extraordinarily crisp the puffy white clouds looked against it. A bit of contemplation, a hint on the last photo thread and there you have it .... this months challenge is to look up into the sky and show me the gorgeousness of that massive expanse of wonder that is holding us on this planet of ours. (I'm feeling quite poetic this morning sorry ROFL)

Hmmm I did get the hint but today the sky is nothing but a grey blob. I hope the weather improves.

you know Tamara there might be some beauty hidden in that grey blob ... it doesn't have to be blue to be beautiful ROFL I saw some gorgeous stormy sky photos on flickr and some lovely rainy day ones too .......... I might have to take a couple of photos this month as the sky can be so different from day to day ;)

Gosh, this is going to be a challenge! Nothing but grey skies here too, but I'll come up with something!

Summer here in the Gulf and the skies are always this stunning grey beigy nothing..LOL. Usually covered with a strong haze of sand and humidity.

Sounds like a weather forecast hey? ROFL

I will see what I can come up with.

oh wow these are both so lovely!! I don't know about you but I have spent a lot of this month so far gazing up at the sky for this challenge and I am amazed and how different it is every day!
