One of my blessings is that I married a man that loves the beach as much as I do. Our family vacation has always been a trip to TopSail. In the early days, that included our children, my parents, my sister and her children, and sometimes friends from church. After Mama passed away, it eventually dwindled down to just us and our children. Then each year, as the kids got older, school and work would interfere with the scheduling and one or two would not be able to join us. This year, it will only be the two of us. It would be sad, but we have rarely had time alone, so we are very excited. The memories of family and friends ... of vacations past ... linger on the beach. Its fun to recall those memories. We also have new memories to make together. I love this photo of Ryland last year as his toes hit the water for the first time. We were alone for the first few days, so we got a little taste of what it will be like this year. Its almost time ... {{{sigh}}}
