"Sometimes a digital scrapping collection has items that reach out and grab your emotions and insist on being used. Only after the page is finished do you understand why those particular ones needed to be used and what they mean. This page built itself from the moment I started it - each item seeming to step forth when needed. Here is the order they came forth. The lady in the clouds represents her memories that will always live inside - she is muted slightly but will always be aware.. She needed to be in the upper left corner to oversee the creation of the page. The large eye is the mind seeing the past and also looking forward into the future. The photo near the lower edge was masked using the lady cloud image turned on the side as she is the foundation and shapes your life. You see only the lady's back as she gazes into the future space. The background paper with golden tones at the top (future times and joys) blending with soft reds (of challenges to be faced) and down into muted turquoise (strength and hope) which represents the new year. The pale turquoise torn letter (lower left) is the past memories written down. The muted tan leaves are bits of the past we need to look past so we can see the future. A blank artist canvas with the palette and jar of brushes are there ready to be used. The word art quote took on the deep turquoise color and chose white strokes to emphasize what was wanted in the new year. Word strips stepped forward to restate what was hoped for. Then the new leaves in blue and turquoise blossom in the new year. In the background the turquoise artsy paper serves as the past with its many memories from light (good) to dark (sad). And underneath it all is the gold paper of hope." Kay @Bright Eyes
