I wonder if my 3 times great grandparents, Dennis and Lucinda Nipper Cole had a house like this one, built by Wiley Crowley in about 1840. Dennis and Lucinda moved to Greene County, Arkansas between 1857-1858 and originally settled just a couple of miles from the Crowley place in Cache Township. It is certain they knew each other and probable that the Coles visited the Crowley home. They probably walked along this trail on Crowleys Ridge, maybe on their way to the lake or a picnic, maybe just enjoying each others company.
