Giraffe (AOM 4/2)
For the 04-02 Art of Mixing Challenge, we were asked to design a layout along a single line from edge to edge, using 3 of the 5 papers and 7 of the 12 elements from the provided kit, and including at least 1 cluster and 1 word art. I decided to orient my layout along a vertical line.

I absolutely love chevrons, so I chose the chevron paper as my background. I started by extracting the photo of the giraffe. I placed the trio of frames above the giraffe and then used masking to make it seem like the giraffe's neck is weaving in and out of them. Next, I placed the measuring tape above the frames and wove it around the frames, too.

I made selections to cut the yellow and pink papers into strips behind the giraffe. I built a cluster using the elements provided in the kit. And I took two photos of leaves and used them as the shapes to cut out my own leaves from the green patterned paper. Then I tucked the leaves behind my cluster. I added the brushed paint behind the cluster and finally added the word art: "emerge."
