Here is a very unusual KOFUN with many HANIWA on display.
Kofun is ancient burial mound, barrow, tumulus. They were mainly constructed in the Japanese archipelago between the middle of the 3rd century to the early 7th century AD.
The Haniwa are terracotta clay figures that were made for ritual use and buried with the dead as funerary objects.
