It's Your Road

Early Tuesday morning we received a call that is a parent's worst nightmare. Monday evening our oldest daughter was struck by a van while riding her e-bike home from work. She always texted her roommate when leaving work and when she was an hour late getting home he started calling around to local hospitals and found her. (God bless his caring heart!) We got the call early Tuesday morning that she was in ICU and our hearts just about stopped. She had been wearing her helmet and the doctors say her brain was doing fine - no injury there, Thank God, but her face and neck are horribly injured. She is being taken to UCLA Medical Center for surgery to repair her thyroid cartilage and to screw her upper jaw back together. We are worried, but grateful for the good news in all of the bad. While we will help in any way we can, the road to recovery is really one she has to walk alone.
what an intense story:cry:! I hope and pray that all will be fine with your daughter. I love the design of your page, it's a slice of life, in this case a heavy slice. Wish you the best x
