For the
04-07 Art of Memories Challenge, we were presented with a tic-tac-toe grid of 9 squares, and each square had a suggestion for something to include in a layout. We were asked to choose any 3 contiguous squares, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, and make a layout using those items. I picked Row 1: 2 photos, 2 frames, 2 overlays paints or stamps.
To create this layout, I started with two black and white photos and fitted them to heart-shaped frames from Palvinka Designs' Stories of Us Collection. I played with the sizes and placement of both frames until I liked the arrangement.
Next, I selected a background paper from the kit that I liked. I added purple and white paint overlays behind both frames, as well as some greenery and vines, and some long branches. I also added an overlay of some papers with text and stars, and blue spatter paint.
Then, I added curly branches behind the frames and added floral clusters. I hung a love charm off of one of the branches.
Finally, I added some blue and white paint, a text and stitched moon, and the title word art: I love you to the moon and back. Then I shrunk the background paper to 96% and angled it. I slid in one of the solid colored papers and made it a bit darker to ground the layout.
