This painting by Harrison Fisher was instrumental in placing several photos my cousin, Bill Dulin, shared with me. It also helped to identify women we two of those photos we thought were Mary Jane “Janie” Love Wood. We knew Aunt Molly was the woman standing in each but were unsure of the other two. The style of the chair, the clothing, and the hair led to the conclusion they were Molly’s sisters.
I used the diagonal from lower left to upper right.
A patterned and a solid paper from the full kit are blended for the background. The four flowers are in the flowered hedge at right, and the two curly ribbons are one long one behind the painting and one small one with the balloons.
