I'm a fan of non-fiction books. Journaling reads: "The book I chose is not an easy book to read. It is about Virginia Woolf by Louise DeSalvo. This is an insightful and well-researched book about VW's life and especially her childhood, when she was abused by her older step-brothers. The trauma she experienced echo in her writings both from then and later on in life. We lost a gifted writer because of it. She committed suicide when she was only 59. I would highly recommend this book for anyone researching the after-effects of childhood abuse, and anyone who wishes to understand the genius in the author who is Virginia Woolf."
