I am fascinated how long your days are.
I am guessing those of you in Australia have your long days at the moment. Waht time is your sunrise and sunset?

Here in the UK it is just now noticeable that the days are getting lighter. In December I was going to school in the picth black at 7 am and coming home int he dark at 4.30 pm.
Now it is light by seven - not bright, but light, and as I type this it is 5.30 and still only dusk.
In the middle of summer we are sunrise about 5.00 am and sunset around 9.45. What about all of you?

I had to do some research before I could answer your question, Karen! I don't pay enough attention, I guess. I used to get up way before it got light, but now, I stay up way to late, so when I get up at around 7, it's already light (even though the info online says that the sun doesn't officially rise here in Utah until 7:34 a.m. If it's light, then I just assume the sun is up, coz well, we don't have that many street lamps around our home *grin*. I'm sitting here at my comp at 6:15 in the evening, and it's barely light outside, and will be dark by 6:30 or a bit later. I am so ready for the longer days and the warm temps of summer!

Great question, Karen!

Not sure on the exact time as I'm up at 5 am every morning and out walking and the sun hasn't actually risen but it is very light out. I love this time of the day before the heat sets in and I can actually imagine I'm the only person on earth as I hardly see anyone out and about at this time. Evenings it is still light out at about 7.30 - 8.00 pm and just starting to cool down.
I know you cold climates are waiting for the warmer weather but here in Australia we can't wait for the cooler weather to come as we are having an extremely hot summer and our winters are rather mild compared to yours.

We've had a very mild winter this year - almost no frost - let alone snow.

Just sick to death of gale force winds and rain.
I think the UK is in danger of sinking.
We went out today and so many areas were flooded. River have burst their banks in so many places. And still it rains.
