My grandbaby is home from the NICU!

After 99 days in the NICU after he was born at 27 weeks, Carson is home! Shirt made my my daughter. He has his moms big eyes but is also suffering from oxygen induced ROP which affects premie's eyes

Awww, congratulations Sharon. Your family must be thrilled to have him home. Maybe he'll be blessed with big eyes (from someone with small eyes) and have a full recovery from ROP. Can't wait to see all the pages you're going to create!!

How excited you all must be. Onya Carson, I am so thrilled you are finally home with your family. Life is going to be so wonderful for you - there really is no place like home.

We have three nephews in the same family, 2 born at 27 weeks with the 3rd born at 26 weeks. They are strapping teenage boys now, fully into football and sports.

I don't know how I missed this -I've been watching for news. How perfectly wonderful! You know, it's good he has those big eyes. We are born with the size eyes we will always have. His are beautiful!

Wow I did not know that - now I know why my eyes are itty bitty - I was born at 7 months so I am going to convince myself that yeh...really....I should have those gorgeous big eyes I see on so many women...they just didn't have time to grow bigger LOL!
