So often we post about the things that are not so nice in our lives. Not that everything is unicorns and light, but we tend to gloss over the sweeter aspects of life. Here I want to start a thread where we share one little nice thing that has happened during our day. Sometimes it is hard to find, you might have to place your day under a microscope, but lemme tell you, its there:)

I'll go first - Yesterday, among a long list of things to do, was a trip to the doctor. Not for an appointment, but for an authorization code for my sons medication. When I got home from work, the secretary from the doctors office called to tell me that she had called the authorization code in to the pharmacy. Just a little thing, but it took a good 30 - 45 minutes off of my to do list and relieved the stress of not getting my sons medicine :)

Now, what made your day a little better? Lets hear it!

I got to spend some time with my grandson today. He even blew me kisses and gave me several hugs while he was here. That always makes my day! :)

My job relies on volunteers. Today one of the volunteers that I hadn't seen in about a year stopped off at Starbucks (nothing surprising there, we have one within walking distance from the school), but she brought me a Vanilla Latte without me even asking - so sweet!

One of the ladies that was a consultant for a company I used to design for (TLC), sent me a box of goodies. It included some of my artwork that I didn't have any copies of, so I was really happy to receive it :)

Yesterday when I got home from work I found out my 7 year old Jessica had received a "best worker for the day" certificate from school. She is in year 2 and they are only in week 3 of the beginning of the school year. She was so excited to show me and I couldn't stop smiling all night...so proud of her!

So glad, Jill :) I had been reading about your troubles with HP and was wondering how thats going. Now for my nice thing --- When I got home from work, I was feeling a bit sick (getting a cold) and didn't sound too good, so Sam (my husband) gave me some Dayquil, sent me off to bed, took care of the kids, fixed dinner AND called my running buddy to tell her that I couldn't make it for our run tonight :).

I think I'll take a turn! Today i was getting my daughter ready for school and her Valentines party, and she turned and gave me a hug and said "You're my real Valentine, Mommy." <3 Love her!

It is so quiet here! Don't get me wrong, I love the noise, but last night one son slept over at a friends house, the other is still asleep, the dogs are taking their morning nap and my husband & I are playing on our computers - nice :)

What make me smile today is the little bird we have in the garden. He came last week and now everytime we whistle him, he comes to eat. So I made a manger for him because it's winter here. And now, he's coming regularly in the manger. So I'm happy we can help him and love to observe him and I can take also some pics of that "event".

Here is my little "guest"

Flo, what a special treat! I love watching the birds from the window next to my computer!

Let's see - nice thing? I'm reaching hard today because it's been a pretty awful week (at work). We were supposed to watch Harper all day tomorrow, but work is now scheduled - and 4 out of 4 lead people I have working for me will not be there - 2 are out on leaves, one is on vacation and the other one informed me he was going to be out of town, so would be calling in sick.
I guess the bright spot is I am healthy and able to work.
