I know I live in Canada. I know we get some brutal winters and most people think we live year round in igloos (we are not eskimos people!!) and it's always cold here! I remember one year when I lived by the border while in University a pair of guys came over the border in toques and skiis on their car IN MAY asking where all the snow was. I also had someone ask me in JUNE in Michigan at a NASCAR race if we had American TV shows and how did we watch tv living in ice houses. (and he was dead serious!)

Anyway, that aside, they are calling for 40% chance of FLURRIES tomorrow!!! Ack!! I remember as a kid wearing a snow suit under my Halloween costume, but there was never EVER snow before Halloween!

I won't complain about rain showers this weekend, then. We have had some really cold Halloween nights here in Utah, but have had a lot of gorgeous ones, too....it's kind of hit and miss. But, if I'm given a choice, I'd rather MISS the snow :p Lol, I keep saying I'm going to move away from here because the winters are too cold for me, but then I think about not seeing my grandkids, and I just put on a few more layers to keep warm :p

I hope the snow melts fast, and that you get a bit more autumn...this is way too early to start winter!

I am the same way Faye, I don't know why I am living in Utah when winter comes around.. I do not like the snow, with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.. love it those 2 days but that is enough for me. I would miss my kids if I wasn't here but, then I think well... I could always visit or I could fly them to me... haha

Keep the snow there Trace!!!! It is getting cool here so far and I am liking the fall but not ready for winter at all.

I live in a place where it never snows....I don't think I could handle that cold for months on end.....I think it could get very depressing being so cold. Snow is nice to see/visit but I'm so happy that I live in my sub-tropical climate.

My life goal (and I plan on it when the kids are older) is to live on a beach in the tropics with a tiny house (maybe 700 square feet) and a patio where I can grow some fruits and veggies. I want to live RIGHT ON THE BEACH so I can fish in the mornings too. ;)

There was snow here on Jan 1st. It was actually snowing at midnight of the new year. In Apache junction, Arizona!! I definitely took pictures of the event.

Besides that, it does not snow here in the valley. Northern AZ gets snow. I've been to visit it in the past...

I wouldn't like the shoveling of it. The work of keeping your house unburied. Hoping the roads were plowed on time for you to get to work. Passsssssss

No snow yet!! But it's COOOOLD. -2 degrees C. I finally convinced Chris to turn the furnace on. We set it for 67. ;) We usually can get away with leaving it off until Daylight Savings. It supposed to be back up to 15 C tomorrow so it won't need to be on.

Funnily enough Faye, some places do actually end in October! I found this on this site. LOL here, however, you are correct. My bad.... it's Nov 1st for US. Switzerland is in October. Australia was October 4th/April 5th. (seems backwards to me, but probably because they are in a different hemisphere!) lol. Arizona - doesn't have to worry about it.... ever. :D

Lol, this will tell you where my head is at. I saw DST, but I READ iDSD :p Lol, I think I might have a one track mind. For us, DST (not to be confused with iDSD) ends November 1 :)

Doh...I think I need to slow down and stop trying to multi-task. My brain obviously can't keep up *grin*

DST used to be in October but it was changed (I believe by Pres. Bush? in 2005 and agreed upon at a meeting with the Prime Minister of Canada) Bush said it was to save electricity, gas and money. He called it the Energy Conservative Method or something silly like that.

We just started daylights saving and like Julie it also doesn't snow here either though our heat is dry and hot not sub tropical. We have already had a couple of days of 37 degrees or 99 degrees Fahrenheit and its only the middle of spring.

We change the last weekend of October here

We almost never get snow here on the south coast of the UK though plenty of other places get it.
I love the snow as when we do have it it rarely lasts long.
Last winter we had just a handful of severe frosts and no snow.

I love cold frosty days

Sadly what we DO get a lot of is mist and drizzle and general greyness.
