How many of you think that boys are harder to deal with on the "breaking up" in teen love than girls are? I have a boy that is 17 and a girl that is 17.. and I have a gut feeling we are on the end of a count down on the relationship of the teen puppy eyes love for my boy.. and oh my are we going to have the water works..

Girls... easy peasy at this house hold...

Boys.. they are hormonal!!!!!

How about your house?

so long ago now, I can't remember...but I think the two boys handled it better than my daughter did.

My boys are coming up on 12 and 14. The 12 year old is already hormonal and the girl thing is a MAJOR issue. I don't even want to see him on the "breaking up" end of things. That's when I'll wish I had a girl - everything looks better from far away!

My older son - I won't even hazard a guess - I just know that the puppy love years are going to be quite the roller coaster ride :)

I couldn't even imagine....we were just talking about life in 10 years, and that would put my oldest at 15....and he was pretty excited to be envisioning himself driving...

This kid cracks me up.. imagine a 6' 2" 240 pound (solid muscle) football player bawling like a baby over a girl breaking his heart.. aww the puppy love years :) He is way more hormonal than his sister that is his age.. well she is 3 months younger than him.

Dont you just wish you could give them a mirror into the future so they would see that it will be okay and they will survive.. poor kids.. I know I would never want to be a teenager again that is for sure.. Life was hard enough being one when I grew up but, now seems so much harder with all of the things they have to deal with..

Good point Heather.. I never thought of it that way :) It is important for us not to bottle things up isn't it.. Thanks for helping me to see that side of things !!

I know this is an older thread, but my 13 yr old grandson's gf just broke up with him, and he's absolutely devastated. My heart broke to see him so 'hang dog' - and then PokemonGo! came out and life was great again in his world lol. I know he's a lot younger than the boys you all were speaking of, but this was his first gf. Their dates always had either my daughter or her parents nearby or were at the library hehe. So innocent and sweet,
