We went to see this movie this weekend.. Most of the family has read the book and like the book.. All of us really liked the movie..

We went to The Martian Saturday, and loved it. I'm not a fan of strong language in movies, but other than that, I thought it was really great. (lol, and to be honest, if I was stranded on Mars, I'd probably be inclined to say a few things I wouldn't normally say *grin*). I LOVED the humor in this movie...totally unexpected. It was really annoying to me though....my hubby knew all about that hexa alpha thingy, the length of days on mars and several things Matt Damon did to survive on Mars while I was completely clueless. Lol, I walked away feeling slightly less intelligent than when I went in, but hey, it was worth it. Great movie!

My husband listened to the book, and really liked it. We're planning to see the movie soon. It's nice to see that you liked it-now I'm less hesitant

I read the book and was so excited about the movie! We went opening day. LOVED IT! I was really concerned as to how in the world they would make a movie out of journal entries. Matt Damon was great. I can't imagine any actor doing better in that role.
