For the
4/22 Art of Memories Challenge, we were asked to create a new digital scrapbooking layout using the free acrylic alphabet provided by Palvinka Designs and featuring her products.
To create this layout, I selected Palvinka Designs' Joyful January Collection. Winter collections don't have to be used for winter layouts. I picked a pink background paper to go with my big photo. When I placed the photo on top, I used a gradient layer mask to blend it into the background paper, which can be seen at the top and bottom of the vertical cluster.
Next, I used the acrylic alpha to build my title: peace & tranquility. I played around with the size and placement until I liked it. Then I added the words: we all need more... to go in front of the title.
I slowly began building up the vertical cluster. I started with branches. Then I added flowers, leaves and greenery, swirls, stars, ribbons, feathers, and a bird. I kept adjusting the layers trying to avoid tangents until I liked the final effect.
