Peaceful Art

Right now in my life it is hard to take my thoughts away from my DH and his illness, and at first I didn’t think I would make this challenge page about something other than that. But in the end I saw the art on our walls that brings me joy and peace, so I ended up with this. I used (and changed a bit to suit the art pieces) the provided template from Heartstrings Scrap Art along with her “Peace Sets Me Free” bundle.
In case you are interested, the journaling reads: Ed and I love the art of Pino Daeni. He was trained in Italy, but came to the United States in 1978 to find more artistic freedom. His work came to the attention of a number of publishing houses and he helped sell millions of books using a then unknown fellow Milanese Italian model named Fabio. In 1992 he left illustration behind to return to his impressionist revival painting. Ed and I discovered his work in the early 2000s and have giclées of a number of his works including “Evening Thoughts” in the entryway. We have “Innocence” and “Morning Breeze” in our bedroom. His work continues to appear in art galleries all over the world, and his giclée prints sell into the thousands of dollars. He passed away from cancer in 2010.
