Adult Coloring

I bought a book....then my daughter asked for it and I caved and gave it to her LOL. I knew it was kind of silly to think I actually had the time to sit and color anyway, maybe one day when I am in a nursing home somewhere! Right now I am juggling homeschooling the kids, taking care of my son who's Autism and Mood Disorder can be quite a challenge, and babysitting the grandkids. I am LUCKY that I find time to scrapbook and that is because I know if I don't, I just won't stay sane!
I know it sure looks like a lot of fun!

I am taking them when we get in the car and go for a ride... little day trips etc.. and while everyone is watching tv and relaxing.. I am not one to sit still very easily.. so it is a good way to help me relax.. they are quite fun

I have 3 of them offered for christmas or birthday. I tried one but in fact I'm not satisfied. I don't know what kind of pencils to to take to start ? If you have any advices (and links if it's allowed here ?) for the pencil I would be happy because my english is not good enough to make difference between all kind/name of pencil

I have 3 Johanna Basford Books and the Millie Marotas.

I find it very relaxing.
I use either spectrum noir pencils which blend beautifully but I love my new Derwent Inktense pencils which are watercolour pencils but so bright and intense. I use a water brush with them and you can do much finer work than pencils.

I've got a slew of adult coloring books. But I find I don't gravitate to it like I thought I might. I also got some really nice colored pencils. But I think my artistic ability is in premade digi stuff, that I can just manipulate as I want!

I got another one for Christmas too it is a swear word one hahhahahaha what were my kids thinking !!!! not sure I will be showing off what that one is all about I got a few for my birthday in September as well.. I love them for when we are traveling and need to keep my hands occupied in the car so I don't go crazy.

I've been curious about watercolour pencils...I've enjoyed using the fineliner pens from Stadtler, but have started using colored pencils again to do more blending.

I have to share here! I've been coloring just a little now and then when Robert and I go to Starbucks. I like bringing something to do while we visit that I otherwise don't have the time for, so I have a little book bag with a small adult coloring book and colored pencils. I found myself reading online and discovered that some use colored pens instead of pencils. I first thought that they wouldn't be neat enough to please me, and I wouldn't be able to shade. Well, those tiny spaces don't allow a lot of shading anyway, and after reading about how lots of ladies loved the pens, I bought a set, and now I'm wanting to go hang out at S again to color! They're so bright and pretty and were cheap! Not sure if I can put in a link here, so if you're interested check out the Lolliz Gel Pens at Amazon. I bought the pack of 70 for $12.99!
